Whilst the impact of Coronavirus is increasing throughout the world, we wanted to communicate our measures and reassure customers of our commitment to keeping the food supply chain moving throughout the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
At this unprecedented time, we are adjusting our working practices daily; working in-line with government guidelines to keep our workforce safe, whilst ensuring continuity of our service to our valued customers.
Here’s some useful information of what you can expect from Tong Engineering as the situation continues to evolve…
TALKING TO TONG
We have taken every precaution in physically distancing members of our office team, however, you can continue to call us as usual on 01790 752771, and your call will be directed to someone who can help.
Whilst normally we love to welcome all visitors to Tong Engineering, until further notice, all visitors to site are restricted to business-critical activities only, including collections and deliveries. We look forward to opening our doors again once government guidelines advise that we can. Any external visitor that comes on site must wear a face covering, unless they are exempt. For Track and Trace purposes, all visitors will also be asked to sign in.
All members of our sales team are contactable as normal. Our sales team are continuing to communicate with our customers via telephone, video calls and email, however where this isn’t possible our sales team will arrange meetings face to face strictly following government guidelines.

ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE
Our sales administration and finance departments are continuing to operate remotely and will communicate all matters via telephone or email.
PRODUCTION & MANUFACTURING
All departments of our production and manufacturing process continue to operate, with orders currently progressing and reaching fulfilment on schedule. Our workforce is responding magnificently to the challenges presented.
Service & Installation
Our service and installation team continues to operate, within government guidelines. Therefore, if you require service or installation support, we encourage you to call us to discuss your requirements.
Our spare parts team are following strict guidelines on quarantining incoming deliveries and parcels for required periods to avoid any possible transfer of the virus across packages. We will continue to use all operational carriers to get your spare parts to you as soon as possible. Currently, we are not experiencing any disruptions to our delivery service. We will continue to monitor the situation to ensure the best possible turnaround on all spare part deliveries.
