Design Engineer

Due to continued business growth and expansion, including a brand-new purpose-built manufacturing facility with modern office space currently under construction, we have a vacancy for an experienced Design Engineer based in Spilsby, Lincolnshire.

This exciting role brings the opportunity to work on a wide range of custom built and innovative handling equipment from concept design through to manufacture and installation.

As a Design Engineer within our existing dedicated team, you will work on the design of new machines as well as being responsible for updating existing machine designs and their associated drawings to produce high quality, accurate and detailed production drawings ready for the factory, reporting to the Drawing Office manager for suitable guidance where needed.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a working knowledge and proven experience using Solidworks 3D CAD package. Experience of 2D AutoCAD and PDM systems would be a distinct advantage.

A can-do attitude, meticulous eye for detail and the ability to work with autonomy on individual projects as part of a collaborative team will be fundamental to your success in this diverse role.

Experience of a similar manufacturing industry, including conveyors, elevators, and associated handling/recycling equipment would be advantageous but not essential as full Tong product-specific training will be given.

A clean driving license is required as there may be occasions where you will visit customers and discuss their individual needs to facilitate design and installation.
