Tong SwiftLift, part of the Tong Engineering Group, has appointed Tom Allwood as Electrical and Service Manager, strengthening its commitment to dedicated service and support for the company’s range of elevators and conveyors.
Tom joined the business in April and brings almost 20 years of industry experience, having worked extensively with Tong and SwiftLift equipment throughout his career. In his new role, Tom will lead aftersales service and support for SwiftLift customers, whilst also taking responsibility for electrical production and development across the range.
Of the new appointment, Richard Knighton, General Manager at Tong SwiftLift explains: “A key focus of Tom’s role will be developing a more dedicated service offering for Tong SwiftLift machines, delivering the same high standard of support and customer service that Tong Engineering is renowned for across its handling equipment range.”
Commenting on his new role, Tom said: “I know the SwiftLift range of products very well and I’m really looking forward to helping grow and develop the business now it is part of the Tong Engineering Group. We’re planning to provide dedicated aftersales support for all Tong SwiftLift customers, as well as supporting local Tong Engineering customers too.”
