Overview
The Tong 2507 and 2509 weighers offer gentle and effective weighing of a wide range of vegetables, from potatoes and carrots, to onions, swedes, Brussel sprouts, bulbs and more.
Based on a tank weighing system, the 2507/2509 weighers can be used for filling vegetable trays, bags or boxes between 7.5kg and 50kg. The 2507 model offering throughputs of up to 7 tonnes per hour, and the slightly larger 2509 model offering throughputs of up to 9 tonnes per hour.
ECONOMICAL vegetable WEIGHER MACHINER
Manufactured with a double belt feed system, the 2507/2509 weigher is an electronic weigher which weighs crop within a load cell mounted tank. This allows flexibility between filling bags or trays, allowing a range of contract demands to be fulfilled at any given time. The crop is gently fed up the double belt feed system. which comprises of a wider ‘main’ belt and a narrower ‘trickle’ belt. The user presses the footswitch to say the bag/tray is ready, and the crop is then weighed in the machine’s tank and is discharged into the bag or tray. As soon as the crop is discharged, the weigher begins to weigh crop into the tank, keeping a continuous weighing process for optimum throughput.
With a capacity of up to 350 bags per hour depending on the product/pack.

HEAVY DUTY BELTS
The 2507/2509 weigher features a heavy duty double belt feed system which comprises of two 50mm flighted belts. The 2507 weigher is fitted with a 295mm wide main belt and a 100mm wide ‘top-up/trickle’ belt, and the 2509 weigher is fitted with a 395mm wide main belt and a 100mm wide ‘top-up/trickle’ belt.
BATCH WEIGHING
Weighing crop in batches within the machine’s load cell mounted tank, as opposed to weighing within the bag, the 2507/2509 weigher allows more continuous weighing. As soon as weighed crop is discharged, the weigher starts weighing the next batch of crop in the tank ready for discharge. Meaning minimal stoppage time for bag or tray changing, and maximum throughput.
LCD DIGITAL CONTROL
Fitted with an LCD digital display control panel, the 2507/2509 weigher is designed to be very user friendly, making changes to desired final bag/tray weight quick and easy.
BAG/TRAY CONVEYOR
The 2507/2509 weigher is available with the option of a heavy duty bag or tray conveyor to effectively receive filled bags or hold trays. The bag conveyor is manufactured with a 2.5m long x 300mm wide grip top belt as standard, and is fitted with integrated side guards to help guide bags in an upright position. The bag conveyor is commonly used in conjunction with a hand-held stitcher, passing filled bags along the conveyor making the entire bag weighing and stitching process run more smoothly. The 2507/2509 weigher can also be integrated with a custom built conveyor or gravity roller conveyor system to suit your individual weighing requirements.
