The Tong vibrating length sizer offers effective carrot and parsnip length sizing and can be custom built to provide throughputs up to 30 tons per hour.
GENTLE & EFFECTIVE HANDLING
Powered by a fixed speed motor, each vibrating plate on the length sizer is separated by an adjustable outlet. As crop gently passes along the vibrating plates, longer crop passes over, resulting in shorter crop falling through the preceding incremental outlets. Each grade passes onto side projection conveyors and any oversized crop passes over the end of the machine.
A popular carrot sizer for throughputs of up to 10 tons per hour, the vibrating length sizer comes in standard widths of 1.2m, 1.5m, 1.6m and 1.8m, with a choice of up to 4 sizing outlets.
Features
INFEED SPREADER SECTION
In order to create a more even spread of crop at the infeed of the vibrating length sizer, an infeed spreader section is available. This distributes crop across the width of the machine and is driven via its own independent motor. The spreader section consists of rotating rubber discs on one shaft. Helping to achieve higher accuracy of sizing, particularly when operating under higher throughputs.
ADJUSTABLE OUTLETS
Offering maximum flexibility in grade size, the crop outlets on the vibrating length sizer are fully adjustable. Allowing you to set the outlet size to suit your exact requirements.
ECONOMICAL DESIGN
The vibrating length sizer is built based upon a simple yet robust design. Offering an effective and somewhat economical solution for length grading carrots, without the investment of an optical sorting machine.
