Designed to offer a heavy duty and reliable vegetable dirt eliminating solution, the star dirt eliminator from Tong is often specified after the vegetable infeed hopper to remove the bulk of the post-harvest debris prior to the vegetable sizing or washing process. The star dirt eliminator is also an ideal cleaning system to simply remove excess soil from crop prior to transport or storage and can be specified as your chosen vegetable dirt eliminator within Tong mobile and static vegetable sizing lines.

FIXED OR ADJUSTABLE SHAFTS
Tong’s star vegetable dirt eliminator is available with a choice of fixed or adjustable star shafts, in a 4, 6 or 8 row configuration. Stars can be supplied in a range of specifications to suit your crop type, with standard options of 14 or 18 fingered stars, and standard widths from 1.2m to 2.4m wide. When specified as an adjustable dirt eliminating unit, the gaps within the shafts are fully adjustable to suitable your specific crop dirt eliminating and sizing needs.
GALAXY STAR DIRT ELIMINATOR
The Tong Galaxy star separator offers effective removal of loose soil, small stones and clods from crop, working very efficiently in all crop conditions. Manufactured with 6 rows of heavy duty star shafts, the Galaxy star dirt eliminator operates each shaft in pairs, incorporating hexagonal or round steel clod rollers, each fitted after every second row of stars, for effective stone and soil removal.
VERTICAM DIRT ELIMINATING SYSTEM
Tong’s verticam star dirt eliminating system is built to offer effective soil and haulm separation, with a self-dirt eliminating star separating unit. Manufactured to operate in pairs, each heavy duty star shaft is adjustable and configured with a shaft of 4 finger cleaning stars to the underside to keep the star system clean by removing and preventing soil build up between the star’s fingers. Due to its effective self-dirt eliminating action, the verticam star dirt eliminating system is particularly popular in heavy soil conditions.
BLUE INVERTER TECHNOLOGY
Tong star dirt eliminating units can be specified with an electric direct drive motor on every shaft. Featuring Tong’s Blue Inverter Technology, when driven by all electric direct drive motors, the star dirt eliminator offers the very best energy efficiency as well as refined control of each shaft, for optimum dirt eliminating results and easy maintenance.
CARTRIDGE-STYLE DESIGN
Tong’s star dirt eliminator separators are built to a cartridge-style design for easy interchange with other dirt eliminating units, and simple removal for service and maintenance.
