Tong’s single box filler offers gentle and efficient vegetable box filling to suit a wide range of needs with outputs ranging from 15 to 25 tons per hour, depending on crop type.
SEAMLESS OPERATION
Manufactured with a hydraulically operated box platform, the single box filler works by lifting the empty box in a pivot action over the crop conveyor for gentle transfer at all times.
As the crop enters the box, the crop sensor controls the steady lowering of the box as it fills. Once the box is fully down in its original position, the feed belt continues to fill the box, automatically stopping when the box is full. When the full box is replaced with an empty box, the box filler detects the empty box and the cycle continues, for a continuous box filling process.
Features of the Single Box Filler
HYDRAULIC BOX PLATFORM
The single box filler operates with a hydraulic box lifting system to carefully tilt boxes over the crop feed conveyor. Ensuring crop is delivered into the bottom of the box as closely as possible, for minimal drop and the gentlest handling.
BUFFER HOLDING CONVEYOR
When operated with the option of a buffer conveyor, there is no need for the grading or processing line to stop whilst the box is replaced. The buffer conveyor holds crop that is fed onto it from the handling line, until the box is changed and ready for filling to commence. This option means minimal downtime and maximum throughputs from the single box filler.
GENTLE HANDLING
Designed to offer gentle handling of crop, the single filler ensures minimal drop at all times throughout the entire box filling process, with the pivoted box staying as close to the feed conveyor as possible at all times.
COMPACT DESIGN
Tong’s single box filling machine offer a compact design, allowing efficient box filling with optimum space savings.
OPTIMUM SAFETY
Tong single box fillers are designed to meet stringent safety standards. Featuring a box movement siren as well as light guards, which meet the full requirements of EC legislation. The light guards become active when the hydraulic lifting platform to lift and any breaking of the security beams will stop the machine.
ROLLING ROAD BOX FEEDER
When integrating Tong single box fillers within a complete vegetable handling line. Tong’s ‘rolling road’ box feeding system can be specified to automatically present boxes to the single filler, and transporting the boxes away for the area once filled. The automatic box presenting system offers increased efficiency of your vegetable box filling process, facilitating fully automated box filling. This significantly reduces labour requirements and minimises forklift movement.
